One of my favorite pastimes is to ride rollercoasters.

MUSIC: DISNEY'S MAIN PARADE THEMES

I believe the park with the best coasters is Cedar Point, in Sandusky, OH. Check out their website for the world record breaking ride, Top Thrill Dragster!!!!

Top Thrill Dragster launches up to 120 mph in less than 4 seconds! Then it climbs 420 feet into the air, crests over the top and spirals down 270 degrees to the finish. TTD is over in 17 seconds - but it leaves you wanting to ride it over and over again.

I won part of an auction to be one of the first riders on TTD on it's opening day. Below is one of my photos from that day, May 4, 2003. This picture is from my first ride at the 120mph launch! This ride has to be one of the most amazing rollercoaster rides anywhere!

The Beast at King's Island is still one of the top wooden rollercoasters in the world and I never get tired of riding it.

Now Kings Island has
Diamondback! Finally -- Kings Island gets a rollercoaster of this kind! The seating arrangements are great and the lap bars are just like Top Thrill Dragster - which allow your upper body to be free. It's also not a short ride - it lasts three minutes.

The first time that I rode the Millenium Force , at Cedar Point, (310 ft. high), I waited for around 3 hours. This is normal for the first year of a new ride. Now the wait is usually under an hour.

MILLENIUM FORCE!

Above is a picture from one of the tallest rollercoasters in the world. The MF runs around 92mph. Notice how the lapbars do not hinder any upper body movement. Tom and I successfully got our eyes open for this picture. It's pretty hard to do when it's windy -- and most of the time it is.

MAGNUM XL-200

May 30, 1994

My friends Maria Molina and Tom are screaming on the
Magnum XL-200 just as loud as I am on this great ride at Cedar Point. This ride is 205 feet tall and is one of the fastest rides around -- 72 mph!

THE LEGEND

In the small town of Santa Claus, Indiana, is Holiday World! When we visited, the park had only two rollercoasters (the Legend and the Raven), but they rank right up there with the best! The new ride for 2000 was The Legend. The theme is based on The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The first hill drops you 113 feet. Another hill has a 77 ft. drop and features the world's first spiral drop. It's top speed is 65 mph.
This is one of the BEST wooden coasters that I have been on!

APOLLO'S CHARIOT

At Busch Gardens Williamsburg, VA this is Apollo's Chariot. Only the front seat for this ride! I am on the left and in the middle is Stacey Woolley - who I married in 2003! The best way to ride this is with your hands UP and your legs OUT - as I am doing in the photo! This ride has a first drop of 210 feet and reaches speeds up to 73 mph.
